$54,273 Safeguarded: GDM’s Zero-Tolerance Approach on Fraud.
GDM Official
22 de agosto de 2025
Since launch, GDM has identified and declined $54,273 in fraudulent sharing requests (16 cases in total). By stopping these attempts, we've reduced overall sharing costs by 4.7% for all members, ensuring pledge funds are used only for legitimate cases and safeguarding the integrity of our community.
Integrity: The Foundation of GDM Mutual Aid
At GDM, pledge funds are a shared resource built on trust, not a guaranteed payout. Every illegitimate request drives up costs for everyone.
That's why our professional team carefully reviews each sharing request to ensure full compliance with the GDM Terms & Conditions. We utilize long-tenured and experienced Mutuality Advisors, along with advanced techniques, processes, and technologies, to identify fraudulent behavior. We believe a healthy mutual aid community must rest on transparency and integrity.
Our responsibility is clear: stop dishonest behavior and safeguard the rights of honest members.

Data Insights: Common Fraud Types and Key Reminders
Commercial Vehicles Registered as Private ($30,500, 56%)
Some members attempted to register commercial vehicles as private to join the program. Investigations revealed their vehicles were used commercially, and their sharing requests were declined.
Reminder: Commercial vehicles are not eligible. Confirmed cases lead to immediate rejection of the request and termination of membership.
Pre-Existing Damage Requests ($12,400, 23%)
A number of sharing requests involved damage that existed before members joined GDM, or damage that occurred prior to the reported incident.
Reminder: Pre-existing damage is not eligible. Concealing it results in ineligibility.
False Transportation Assistance Requests ($5,673, 10.5%)
For vehicles in need of repair that meet our sharing request criteria, GDM determines transportation assistance limits based on the Member’s submitted Declarations Page. If the Declarations Page includes coverage for "Rental," "Transportation Expense," or "Loss of Use," GDM will use those specified limits as the authorized transportation assistance amount. If those coverages are not listed on the Declarations Page, GDM's default maximum limit for transportation assistance is $40 per day, for no more than 30 days, with a cumulative maximum of $1,200. Some individuals submitted falsified rental invoices or documents to request transportation assistance benefits.
Reminder: Only authentic documentation will be accepted. Falsification results in request denial and termination of membership.
Other Fraudulent Behaviors ($5,700, 10.5%)
Various attempts to improperly obtain funds have been uncovered.
Reminder: Any form of fraud will be met with zero tolerance. GDM and other members retain the rights to pursue the legal liabilities of the defaulting member.

Review Is More Than Screening — It's Safeguarding
Our review process goes beyond checking boxes. It's about safeguarding our community and ensuring pledge funds are used fairly.
Every Monday, all eligible events are publicly posted in the GDM App for full transparency. If fraudulent behavior is detected, we enforce the Terms & Conditions: the request is rejected, and the membership is terminated.
This safeguards the ecosystem and ensures funds remain safe and fair for all.
Our Commitment
We are committed to building a community for good drivers who share our values. We ask every member to join with a genuine commitment to our shared principles.
Thank you for your continued trust and support as we build a transparent and trustworthy mutual aid platform.
