How Good Driver Club Works
How Good Driver Club Works

Good Driver Club helps good drivers keep more of their money. It's a membership-based alternative to collision and comprehensive coverage — but it's not an insurance company. Instead, it's built on a loss-sharing model. Here's how it works.
How Your Money Is Set Up
When you enroll in a six-month plan, you receive a quote. We take 20% of that quote upfront as a fixed service fee to run the club. The remaining 80% stays in your bank account as your Pledge Amount until it is needed.
Where Your Pledge Goes
Your pledge can be used in two ways during the six-month plan.
Helping Other Members: When other members have eligible events, your pledge is used to share the cost. Each Monday, we publish eligible events with details such as photos, invoices, and supporting documents. Contributions are processed the following Monday. Your sharing amount is capped, and any amount remaining after community sharing will be supported by a GDC donation.
Supporting Your Own Repair: If you have an eligible event, costs are paid first from your out-of-pocket amount, then from your remaining pledge balance. Any remaining amount is shared by other members. Once your pledge is used, you no longer contribute to other members for the rest of that plan.
At the end of the six-month plan, any unused portion of your pledge stays with you.
Accident-free members may save up to 40%* of their quoted amount. Actual savings vary.
In Short
We take 20% to run the club
80% stays in your account until it is needed
Your pledge helps cover other members' repair costs or your own eligible repair
Eligible events are published before any sharing happens
You keep what is not used
That is how the club works.
*GDC is not insurance. Based on internal analysis, participants in the GDC Program could potentially save up to 40% compared to auto insurance options. Savings are estimates only, not guaranteed, and may vary based on individual factors and community driving behavior.
