When your vehicle is in the shop, staying mobile matters. If you select Transportation Assistance when joining GDC, Vecto helps you keep moving with convenient rideshare and rental options.

Vecto is a trusted, vendor-neutral platform that connects Members with major providers like Hertz, Avis, Uber, and Lyft. GDC and Vecto handle payments directly, so you don't have to pay upfront when using Vectot—limits apply based on your plan.

Your Transportation Choices

Vecto gives you flexibility depending on how long you need transportation:

  • Rideshare Vouchers: Perfect for quick trips or short-term needs. Your Auto Damage Specialist sets up vouchers straight to your rideshare app.

  • Rental Vehicles: For longer repair times, the Specialist arranges a rental for either Hertz or Avis through Vecto. Once confirmed, the specialist will send you the pickup and return details.

Simple, Step-by-Step Process

  1. Report the Incident: Start in the GDC app.

  2. Confirm Eligibility: Once approved, tell your Specialist whether you prefer rideshare or a rental.

  3. Setup: Your Specialist works with Vecto to issue vouchers or schedule your rental.

How Service Limits Work

Your Transportation Assistance limits are based on the documents you upload and your plan selection.

If your Declarations Page lists "Rental," "Transportation Expense," or "Loss of Use," GDC matches those limits.

If it doesn't, and you've chosen Transportation Assistance, default limits are $40 per day, up to $1,200 total.

GDC pays Vecto directly for your approved transportation costs up to your limit. If you exceed that limit, you pay the difference. Rideshare value resets daily—if you use $20 in rides, that's what GDC is billed for that day.

Getting Started

Once your Specialist confirms eligibility, let them know your preferred option. They'll handle the setup through Vecto and share your voucher or rental details so you can get back on the road quickly.
