Why We Rebranded as Good Driver Club
Why We Rebranded as Good Driver Club

The Challenge for Careful Drivers
You drive carefully for years. No accidents. Yet your bill keeps going up.
In the U.S., most careful drivers rarely file collision or comprehensive claims in a given year. Yet they still see their costs rise alongside everyone else's. You rarely know where your money goes once it leaves your account.
For careful drivers like you, the system does not reflect what you do right.
Our CEO, William Tu, had the same experience.
A Founder's Perspective
After 15 years without a single claim, William was still paying around $3,000 a year. For William, that did not make sense.
In 2022, he met David Clark, a veteran of the auto claims industry with more than three decades of experience, including leadership roles at major U.S. insurers. Clark had seen the same pattern from inside: costs were pooled widely, and safe driving records rarely changed outcomes.
So they asked a simple question: what would a system look like if it returned the benefit of careful driving to the people who earned it?
Building a Community
That question led to Good Driver Club, where careful drivers come together to share auto losses.
Members pay a 20% service fee to join. The remaining funds stay in their own accounts until needed for repairs. Members keep what isn't spent.
Every Monday, eligible events are published in full. The following Monday, the related costs are shared. Members can see what happened and where the money goes.
Why We Rebranded
The original name, Good Driver Mutuality, described the structure.
The new name, Good Driver Club, reflects the experience more directly: a community careful drivers belong to, where careful driving leads to real potential savings.
The rebrand brings that shift into the experience. The logo and visual identity have been redesigned to better reflect a balance of clarity and trust with warmth and approachability. The website and app have been updated, and onboarding simplified. These updates make the club easier to understand and use, while making key information more visible.
What Hasn't Changed
How the club works has not changed. Your plans and accounts stay the same.
Since launch, over 5,000 plans have been completed, with members collectively saving more than $1.5 million. Every eligible event has been published in full.
Our Values and Looking Ahead
Good Driver Club exists to do right by those who are always doing the right thing.
The model is built on transparency, fairness, and recognition. Drivers with a clean driving history come together in a club where members can see how it works and where the money goes, and over time, careful driving leads to real potential savings.
Our vision is simple: a world where good drivers have the right of way.
