From Mistake to a Win

My life in America began with a dream of freedom. As a mechanical engineer, I had a good head for numbers and I thought opening a courier franchise would be the right path, so I invested everything into making it work. Convinced it would provide a sense of reward and satisfaction. But the reality was very different.

Instead of satisfaction, I found myself tied to every part of the operation; the delivery driver, janitor, dispatcher, working long hours just to keep things afloat. I often wondered, "Am I running this business, or is it running me?"

In searching for other opportunities, I explored network marketing. At first, nothing seemed to fit, but then I discovered GDM. Not the same type of business as a franchise, just another type of opportunity: a community-based opportunity that allowed me to participate without the overwhelming overhead, while still letting me apply my work ethic and ambition in a new way.

A New Chapter Begins

For three weeks, a friend named DJ had been sending me messages about GDM, but I never opened them. One afternoon, though, sitting in an Indian restaurant, I overheard a conversation that stopped me in my tracks. "I just found an opportunity to save with GDM," a man at the next table said to his friend. I couldn't help myself. I leaned over and asked, "How did you do that?" He told me to download the GDM app and upload a copy of my declarations page. Honestly, I didn't even know what a declarations page was. Then I found my insurance policy and uploaded it. The quote that came back made my jaw drop.

I have three cars, and our yearly insurance bill used to be pretty steep. By keeping my liability insurance with my current provider and switching to GDM for collision and comprehensive, I saw there was a chance to save during a plan cycle.

GDM isn't insurance — it's a community where good drivers help each other. I pay a 20% service fee upfront. The remaining 80% stays in my bank account as a Pledge Amount. If I never have an accident, I only chip in a small amount toward repair costs through Weekly Sharing Contribution when other community members get into accidents. If I do have an accident, I first cover the repair costs with my Out-Of-Pocket Expenses and my Remaining Pledge Balance — and any leftover cost will be shared by the other members the same way. Whatever's left after the 6-month cycle — if I don't have any accidents — is what I get to keep as savings. So I thought, "why not just try it?" When my wife saw the new bill, her eyes lit up.

The surprises didn't end there. DJ told me I could also get rewards for being a safe driver and sharing GDM with other good drivers. So I gave it a shot. Within a week, I'd shared it with my friends, who ended up bringing a total of six cars to GDM. The rewards showed up in my app immediately and were in my bank account a week later. That's when I found out: this was a real opportunity.

Why It Just Makes Sense

For years, I'd been a good driver with no accidents. That's why GDM caught my attention — they carefully screen for responsible drivers to build a community where members support each other with vehicle repair costs. By keeping the group limited to safe drivers and encouraging everyone to drive cautiously, they aim to help lower the overall risk of accidents in the community. It's a simple, fair idea — and honestly, it feels long overdue.

The efficiency is incredible. With the GDM app, it usually takes me just a few minutes to get a quote and successfully join GDM. Each week, Eligible Events are announced every Monday in the GDM app before Weekly Sharing Contribution, with full details visible.

It reminds me of the early days of ride-sharing. At first, no one wanted to get into a car with a stranger. Now, we all rely on it. GDM is the next big thing, and the trend is undeniable.

How I Built My Team

I don't have any special genius for building a team. I just stick to a few simple habits:

  • Make My Personal List of Safe Drivers: I go through my phone contacts and send a message to anyone I know who drives well. It's a simple text: "Let's take a look at the potential savings with GDM — it only takes five minutes." One time I sent it to a friend I hadn't spoken to in years. She called me and invited me to lunch. She joined on the spot and is now a superstar on the team.

  • Show Up: As a team leader, you have to be present. GDM offers daily live online training, and I make it a point to be there. If the leader isn't there, the team will drift away.

  • Treat Rejection as a Game: People will always be skeptical. They'll say, "Is this for real?" or "I'll think about it." That's normal. Just like people were slow to trust ride-sharing at first, there will always be a few who see the future first. My job is to connect with those who see the opportunity and help them benefit from GDM.

I'm dead set on reaching L9 — this is non-negotiable.

As GDM keeps growing, our member numbers will keep shattering records. Hit 100,000, then 1 million? It'll be a household name, no doubt.

This journey's had its hurdles, but GDM's different. It's a company that helps good drivers save — and gives folks a shot to get real rewards. Opportunities like this? Rare. Once a decade, if you're lucky.

Grab this chance. The next success story? Could be yours.
