Turning Real-Life Experience into Valuable Insights: Angel's Journey with GDM.

Driving isn't just about freedom — it's a responsibility for yourself and others.

Angel:
Successful businesswoman and passionate homeschooling mom.
GDM L5 affiliate.
Team helped 400+ good drivers join GDM.
My name is Angel. I moved to Las Vegas more than twenty years ago. I'm a full-time mom who also has a part-time job, and I spend hours behind the wheel every day — driving my kids to practices, classes, and family outings. "Maybe it's a mom's instinct — knowing my kids are in the car makes me extra careful."
I've gone two decades without a major accident, yet rising insurance costs finally pushed me to look for something fairer and more transparent.
It All Started With a Real Experience
Earlier this year, I got to know Cintty through a mutual friend, and it was Cintty who introduced me to Good Driver Mutuality (GDM). GDM is not insurance, but an AI-powered platform where safe drivers share repair costs as a community, and if no incidents occur, have the potential to save over time! With one Intro meeting, I understood the concept. I maintained my liability policy with my original provider and chose GDM as my alternative to collision and comprehensive. At first, I didn't need any repairs and could clearly see my surplus every week. I simply contributed repair costs through Weekly Sharing when other community members had accidents.
One month after joining, a small rock hit my windshield on the freeway. I reported the incident through the GDM App, and within half an hour a Mutuality Advisor reached out to confirm details and schedule service with Safelite, GDM's national glass partner.
The following week, on the scheduled day, a technician arrived at my home, replaced the glass in an hour, and left the car spotless — with a lifetime warranty.

Thanks to my Out-of-Pocket Waiver, I only had to contribute my Remaining Pledge Balance for the windshield replacement cost. No endless phone calls. Just a quick, transparent, efficient process.
"That's when I really understood how GDM works." "It's not about joining a program — it's about good drivers helping each other."
My Approach: Sharing to Build a Self-Replicating Team
I didn't keep the experience to myself. I turned it into a way to empower other good drivers. Now, as a GDM L5 affiliate, I lead a team that has helped 400+ safe drivers join the GDM community. My guiding principle: share, don't push. I teach my team to:
Start with people you know. Begin with family and friends — trust makes conversations easier.
Listen before you explain. Understand what matters most — try to spend less, or have transparency when incidents happen.
Track rejections and follow up. A "no" today doesn't mean "no" forever.
Ask for referrals naturally. End each chat with, "Who else do you think might need this?"
Train together. Our group meets weekly online to share updates, real cases, and tips.
By turning my own experience into education, I help my team grow the same way — spreading openness and community instead of pressure.
Family and Values: Making Safety a Culture
I've always believed that good habits aren't just convenient; they reflect responsibility. To me, GDM represents more than a new option — it embodies a culture of "good drivers supporting each other."
That belief has also shaped my family. One of my children is driving now, and my second will be driving soon as well. I often remind them: "Driving isn't just about freedom — it's a responsibility for yourself and others." During practice, I'll use the GDM App to show that driving safely safeguards not just them, but everyone around them. Compared to lectures, this approach makes the idea clearer and easier to relate to.

Looking Ahead: Letting Good Drivers Shine
So far, my team and I have helped 400+ good drivers join GDM, and in the process, we've earned trust and formed meaningful connections. But what I value most isn't the number — it's the culture we are shaping together: a culture where safe driving is visible, encouraged, and appreciated.
The real long-term value isn't in how many people join today, but in whether we can foster a community that is transparent, fair, and rooted in mutuality.
That's why I continue. For me, it comes down to three things: transparency, responsibility, and a long-term perspective. If each of us lives out these values day by day, we can build a more trustworthy community — and, together, help make the roads safer for everyone.
